An iconic Rothschild Boulevard building is given new life as a high-end boutique hotel with interiors by Studio Liaigre, and landscape design by Piet Oudolf of the High Line, NYC
R48 Hotel and Garden is an 11-suite hotel housed in a restored 1930’s Bauhaus architecture-style building on Rothschild Boulevard, one of Tel Aviv's most prestigious addresses. Officially welcoming guests in January 2023, the property has been preserved and restored by local architecture firm AN+ and features interior design and furnishings by Studio Liaigre, along with landscape and garden design by Piet Oudolf, the visionary landscape architect behind New York City’s High Line. Highlights of the property include an intimate rooftop pool, an upscale dining restaurant and an all-day brasserie-style venue, a lush Mediterranean garden and a carefully curated art collection, showcasing works by local artists from different backgrounds.
The project has been brought to life by the renowned R2M Group, the brainchild of Ruti and Mati Broudo and the pinnacle of Tel Aviv hospitality. R2M is famed for owning and operating some of Tel Aviv’s most successful hospitality establishments, including über-chic Hotel Montefiore, gourmet eatery Delicatessen and trendy restaurant-bar Herzl16.
