London, 17 March 2022 : Ahead of Bridgerton returning to the nation’s TV screens on March 25th, new data from eBay reveals that ‘Regencycore’ is back with a Spring twist. In this second season al-fresco occasions, from racing events to tea parties, set the scene for the Viscount to find his wife.

Fans of the show are seeking to replicate their favourite 19th-century looks to don on their next promenade. With searches for ‘Bridgerton outfit’ and ‘Bridgerton wig’ soaring by 750% and 214% respectively.

Previewed by the trailer, the characters will head to the Royal Ascot this series and shoppers are primed to follow suit in appropriate fashion. With searches racing for ‘ascot dress’ by 316% and ‘horse racing outfit’ by 367% on eBay.

For when day becomes night and the Sharma sisters look to fill their dance cards, ball gowns are in high demand among shoppers. Sitting pretty in shopping baskets is ‘evening gown’ with 102% more searches, alongside ‘sequin dress’ which has dazzled up 80% more searches.

With a helping hand from accessories, the nation will dress to the nines as they are eyeing up ‘corsage’ 68% more and ‘opera gloves’ 30% more.

Beyond their wardrobes, the nation is set to bring a touch of Grosvenor Square to their dwellings, with searches for ‘vintage furniture’ and ‘antique chairs’ rising by 43% and 30% respectively.

Dreaming up regal decor, shoppers are seeking out ‘damask wallpaper’ 67% more and ‘gilded frames’ 35% more to help elevate their four walls.

Preparing to host guests when the show reaches boiling point, shoppers are planning a tea party fit for the Ton. As they have brewed up 45% more searches for ‘vintage tea sets’ and a further 38% more for ‘vintage tea pot’.

Romanticising their tablescaping plans with all things floral, searches have also flourished for ‘faux wisteria’ by 143% and ‘faux flowers’ by 107%.

Jemma Tadd, Head of Fashion at eBay said: “As the Bridgerton Effect takes hold, we can see people aren’t just inspired by the fashion in the show, but this inspiration is spilling over into home interiors too. We are already seeing  how the nation is being influenced by the Neetflix hit in the lead up to the new season, so can only expect that inspired race day outfits and wisteria home interiors we will continue to see even more of.”
