About Locals.org
London’s leading social discovery app, Locals.org, was founded by the team of four talented founders and serial entrepreneurs Eugene Nevgen, Sergey Gonchar, Natalia Vodianova and Timon Afinsky. Their previous ventures include MSQRD (bought by Facebook), Loóna, and Elbi; they are also involved in many other products such as Flo or Masuku as investors or board members. In Locals.org, the founders shared a common vision on how to bring connection and fun into people’s lives whilst providing the opportunity to give to a local charity.
Since its London launch in late 2021, Locals.org has quickly become the go-to app for thousands of Londoners who want to meet new people in real life and form meaningful connections – offering positive and inclusive solutions to the loneliness pandemic. The platform appeals to a diverse user base, aimed at anyone who would like to widen their social circle, discover fun and user-organised unique experiences, and find people who love what they love. Whether you’re new to the city and ready to explore art and culture, pandemic parents, or have a spare ticket to a local gig, Locals.org opens up a world of local experiences and potential new friends. Events can span to experience which can make those errands enriching - do you walk your dog every Tuesday? Great! Come along to the dog picnic with neighbourhood pooch owners.
The choice of experiences to join on Locals.org are varied reflecting the diverse interests of the community. A snapshot of a day of experiences in London can include everything from indoor skydiving and hiking undiscovered trails to attending a film screening at The Royal Festival Hall or a workout at Chiltern Street’s exclusive BXR boxing studio.
Connecting in real life to create a positive impact on lives is at the heart of the Locals.org ethos. The platform has launched in direct response to the huge cultural and social shifts caused by the rise of a digital society and amplified by the pandemic, the founders believe that happiness lies in-person bonding real life experiences.
