PR of the day 13.05.19

"There's only one thing better than falling in love with Africa, and that's watching the same thing happy to your kids"
wrote Georgie Mann, who along with her husband and three gorgeous children aged 14, 11 and 8 travelled to Tanzania with Sally and Alice Travel Co. for an epic Ngorongoro / Serengeti / Zanzibar adventure last summer.

Georgie supplied us with a wealth of beautiful family shots from their trip which really capture the magic and excitement of a first time safari...(you can find more of her stunning photos here)

Sally and Alice Travel Co. have a tried and tested portfolio of family-friendly lodges and hotels across Africa that we and our clients have enjoyed over the years, all catering to different ages, interests and needs.

A number of South African properties benefit from being in non-malarial areas which is appealing to those travelling with younger children. Morukuru Farm House in the Madwike is one of our absolute favourite options for exclusive use - "the undivided attention of the excellent staff means that you can make really good relationships with them and it feels like a home from home" as one of our guests who stayed with her family ranging from grandparents down to a 15 month baby wrote. "The food was brilliant – special purees for Felix, special meals and picnics for Max, and amazingly delicious meals for us. The game viewing was superb, and we loved breakfast in the bush and our last evening dinner in the bush on the ridge overlooking the plains below. We are all spoilt for life and I’d go back like a shot."

For the budding riders out there, Ants Nest, also in South Africa, is the perfect choice and holds a special place in our hearts as Katie used to work here. "I think this is one of the happiest places we have ever been to. Can’t wax enough about it. Incredible!" wrote one family who recently stayed with their two girls aged 8 and 9.

For families with slightly older children, a safari in KenyaTanzaniaZambia and Namibia all offer the chance to totally unplug, regroup, immerse yourselves in the wilderness and share an adventure with your children which will create lifelong memories (and hopefully a passion for nature).
