Babel has settled in a quiet cobblestoned lane, nourished by good vibes and good products.
Steered by seasoned hotelier Joris Bruneel and Franco-Afghan Chef Clarie Feral-Akram, Babel transports us to distant lands, accompanied by Daphné Desjeux’s decor.
Joined by the Rosatelier collective and others, Desjeux's decoration is an inspiring change of scenery… Here, the walls are covered in patinas, preloved furniture and accessories mingle with contemporary and antique objects - refinement meets nonchalance. Upstairs, the hallways are warmly inviting and dimly lit. Time stands still within the confines of the hotel’s 31 rooms.
In the kitchen, under the direction of Clarie Feral-Akram, Chefs Sofiane Sadi Haddad and Haitham Karajay cook up generous cuisine and a dynamic menu, a bridge between cultures. Together, they draw on an inexhaustible reservoir of global spices and silk road culinary influences - vegetable dishes and share platters take pride of place.
