Mark Hill have issued a warning after Brits mistook these hair tools for sex toys!

They’re long, they’re thick, they’re hot, but they’re NOT sex toys.

Mark Hill have issued a formal warning after Brits left reviews on their website admitting that they’ve mistaken their hair tools for sex toys.

Although the curlers are suspiciously shaped, they’re made to create professional looking curls. Any other ‘creative’ usage could cause some serious health and safety hazards.

The reviews

Reviews saw customers mention that the tools have been mistaken for less innocent objects by friends, family and colleagues. Others even admitted to trying the tools out in more *personal* ways.

Read some of the racy reviews below:

I love this hair tool, makes me look amazing, but my very conservative mother found it in my bathroom and now isn’t speaking to me because she thought it was something else. I’m sure you can figure out what. So, I’m taking recommendations for great ways to style my hair with this, and ways to convince my mum that it isn’t what she thinks it is. - 4 stars”

So glad I bought this product, it’s been a lifesaver on those bad hair days. The one negative I can think of? My manager saw it in the back of a work call and mistook it for a di*do, so I’ve now got to speak to HR about having an appropriate backdrop on video calls. Not my finest moment. - 5 stars”

My bf saw this in my drawer and was very disappointed when I told him what it actually is. I didn’t even know he wanted to bring toys into the bedroom. Long story short, we’ve now bought a toy that wouldn’t give you third degree burns, I still have my amazing curling wand, and now I have great hair and a happy boyfriend. Thanks Mark Hill! - 5 stars”

I’m obsessed with what this does to my hair. Holds all day and looks like I’ve walked straight out of the salon with a perfect wave. As a warning to my fellow ladies, though, don’t be tempted to use this in another, more bedroom focused way, as appealing as it is. So. Many. Regrets. - 4 stars”

Use on your head, not in bed

The questionable reviews led to a spokesperson at Mark Hill releasing an official statement:

Our Pick ‘N’ Mix range of hair tools are some of the best in the game, perfect for getting that salon-style finish every single time. However, please don’t be fooled by the shape, the size or the girth. We’re here to assure you once and for all that our products are to be used on your head, not in bed.”

Whilst the hair tools have caused quite the stir for Mark Hill, one thing is certain: they may not be sex toys, but they’ll still please you.

Prices start from £16.99, available from the Mark Hill website and boots.com
