1 June 2022 – Today, one of the UK’s most successful broadcasters Nick Grimshaw and much-loved chef and restaurateur Angela Hartnett OBE join forces to host brand-new weekly podcast, Dish, brought to you by Waitrose and produced by Somethin:Else. The pair invite listeners to pull up a seat at the table for delicious food, drink, and unfiltered, hilarious chat alongside some very special guests. The series will kick off on 8 June with stars of hit TV show, Ted Lasso - Hannah Waddingham and Phil Dunster. Listen to the trailer and subscribe HERE.
While Michelin star chef Angela will be making and serving incredible dishes, sharing tips, and recommending delicious Waitrose recipes, Radio 1 alumni, Grimmy (who put his novice cooking skills to the test on The Great British Bake-Off last year) will be sticking to serving the drinks and interviewing their special guests. They will be joined at the table by some of their favourite people including BRIT Award winning Mabel, TV presenters; Rylan Clark-Neal and James May, and newsreader, Clive Myrie.
Nick’s radio experience and his desire to include the crew in the recording, gives the podcast an energy and vitality that is rarely heard, making it a first-of-its-kind in the podcast space. This is underpinned with filmed clips from each episode available to watch via the official Waitrose YouTube channel for listeners to get up close and personal with the conversation.
Nick says: “I’m well excited about hosting this new podcast with Angela - one of my food heroes. It’s going to see us doing what we do best, hosting dinners, serving drinks, and chatting for eternity. It’s going to be a lot of fun”.
Angela who has worked with everyone (both on and off screen) from Gordon Ramsay to Mary Berry adds, “Working with Nick on this has been hysterical, I spend the whole time laughing. What’s not to love about cooking, eating, drinking, and chatting with our dream dinner-party guests? I hope everyone enjoys it; as much as we did recording it.”
