INTRODUCING M&S HOME X FIRED EARTH

Marks & Spencer is excited to announce a new homeware collaboration with timeless British brand Fired Earth. Launching on 12th May 2022, the collection is a carefully curated edit of beautiful textile designs featuring iconic prints and signature Fired Earth colours across design bedding, cushions and towels.

Fired Earth has been telling stories through its tile design since the company was founded in 1983. This exciting new collaboration brings together two brands rich in heritage, authenticity and style, all underpinned by the highest quality products.

Working closely with Fired Earth to develop a curated collection – and drawing on the brand’s distinctive colour names – the M&S in-house design team took these iconic shades to create an exclusive homeware range.

Calling upon Fired Earth’s vast design library, the M&S team took inspiration from some of Fired Earth’s most iconic tile collections to create beautiful, intricate patterns. These have been crafted with care to retain the authenticity of the original designs.

Inspired by two of Fired Earth most popular hand-made collections, the new collaboration is a considered interpretation of the Paris and Marrakech ranges.

The Paris collection is a delicate yet decadent edit, infused with the faded grandeur and timeless, elegant style of Parisian décor. In gorgeous inky shades of blue and sage, these pieces have been carefully crafted drawing on antique influences.

The Marrakech story is inspired by the rich spices of a souk and influenced by traditional Moroccan pattern. Using muted, earthy shades and traditional designs, the colour and texture translate beautifully into timeless pieces perfect for the modern home.

Developed to match the Fired Earth aesthetic, these collections have been designed using relaxed fabrics, including washed cottons, woven cut jacquards, tufted textures, twin needle detail and raw edges, creating a timeless look. Additional detailing, including exposed brass zips, wooden buttons, and delicate embroidery, elevates these designs into an accessible luxury collection.

Karen Thomas, M&S’ Head of Design, Home says:

“We’re delighted to be bringing these two heritage British brands together through this exciting collaboration. Myself and the M&S in-house design team have loved working with Fired Earth to rework some of their most iconic tile designs and beloved colour stories, resulting in a beautiful collection we know our customers are going to love for years to come.”
